This Privacy Policy explains how Flat Stick Supply Pty Ltd (ABN 40 697 404 756) — "Flat Stick", "we", "us" — collects, uses, holds and discloses your personal information when you visit flatsticksupply.com.au, buy from us, or contact us.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. By using our store you agree to this policy.

What we collect
- Contact and order details — name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, order history.
- Payment information — handled by our payment providers. We receive confirmation that payment succeeded and the last four digits and card type. We never see or store your full card number.
- Account details — if you create an account, your login credentials and saved preferences.
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and how you move through the store. Collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
- Communications — anything you send us by email or contact form, and your marketing preferences.
We don't collect sensitive information (health, race, religion, political or similar) and ask that you don't send it to us.
How we collect it
Directly from you when you order, create an account, subscribe or contact us. Automatically through cookies and analytics when you browse. And from our service providers — Shopify, payment gateways, carriers and advertising platforms — where they process it for us.

Marketing and how to stop it
We only send marketing emails to people who have opted in. Every one carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. You'll still receive transactional messages about orders you've placed — those aren't marketing and can't be opted out of while an order is live.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with parties who need it to run the business:
- Shopify — our ecommerce platform, which hosts the store and processes order data on our behalf
- Payment providers — to take and verify payment
- Carriers and logistics providers — to deliver your order
- Email and marketing tools — to send the messages you've subscribed to
- Analytics and advertising platforms — including Google and Meta, to understand traffic and run ads
- Professional advisers and authorities — where we're legally required, or need to establish or defend a legal claim
Overseas disclosure
Some of our providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember preferences, measure traffic, and — where you've consented — support advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the store, including checkout, may stop working properly.
How we protect it
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections, and access controls limited to people who need the data. No system is perfectly secure and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
How long we keep it
We keep order and transaction records for at least seven years to meet Australian tax and business record-keeping obligations. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Other information is kept only as long as we need it for the purposes above.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Give you access to the personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate or out of date
- Delete information we no longer need to keep
- Stop sending you marketing

Children
Our store isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.
Complaints
If you think we've mishandled your personal information, email hello@flatsticksupply.com.au and we'll investigate and respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The current version always sits on this page with its last-updated date.
